Andrea Colby is a Senior Account Executive at e3communications, a public relations/public affairs agency with offices in Albany and Buffalo. She is responsible for assisting a variety of clients in the food production, retail, energy, and medical fields with all aspects of public/media relations. Before joining e3 in 2007, she coordinated and implemented all aspects of public relations, publications, fundraising, membership, and special events for COARC, a non-profit agency that assists people experiencing developmental disabilities in Columbia County, New York.
Andrea became a toy expert while working for KB Toys in public relations at the corporate office in the Berkshires, and has experience in the hospitality industry working for Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires, an award-winning luxury spa. She has worked as an on-site activities director for a student travel company in the Bahamas, and been a staff assistant for an international association in Washington, DC. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Communications from of Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida.
A member of the Public Relations Society of America, Andrea is serving as President-elect for 2009. She is a graduate of Leadership Columbia County and volunteers with Literacy Volunteers, Salvation Army, and the American Red Cross. Currently residing in Athens with her husband, David Colby, President and CEO of the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce; they are proud parents of two children and two cats.
